CastPoint — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 20261. Information We CollectCastPoint collects the following information when you use our app:- Account information: email address and password when you create an account.
- Catch data: species, weight, length, date, photos, GPS coordinates, and notes you provide when logging catches.
- Location data: your device location when you choose to tag a catch or view the map (only with your permission).
- Community content: captions, comments and your display name when you post to the community feed.2. How We Use Your InformationWe use your information to:- Provide and maintain the CastPoint service.
- Store and sync your catch data across devices.
- Display community fishing spots on the map (only public catches).
- Process subscription payments through Apple.
- Show your posts and comments to other anglers in the community feed.3. Data Storage and SecurityYour data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain. Catch data can also be stored locally on your device for offline use.4. Data SharingWe do not sell your personal information. Catches you mark as public may appear on the community map visible to other Pro subscribers. We share data only with:- Supabase (database hosting)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Apple (payment processing)5. Your RightsYou can:- Access all your catch data within the app.
- Delete individual catches at any time.
- Delete your entire account and all associated data from the Settings screen. This permanently removes your account, catches, posts, comments, photos and login.
- Export your data (Pro subscribers).
- Contact us at [email protected] for data requests.6. Children's PrivacyCastPoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.7. Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
